Guangzhou Museum of Art claims to be the largest modern art museum in China. It is a working museum, which aims to collect recent works of Chinese art. It's a lovely and large space with 12 exhibition halls, a large auditorium and tropical atrium. If you are interested in art works, spend at least a half day of in exploring the museum.

Zhejiang Provincial Museum

Parts of the historic site of Zhejiang Provincial Museum is the temporary imperial palace in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) After reconstructed in 1993, the new Zhejiang Provincial Museum, occupying 20,400 square meters, has additional ten halls exhibiting Cultural Relics, Paintings & Calligraphy, Celadon Wares, Arts and Crafts Souvenirs, Coins, Furniture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Objects of Lasting Interest respectively and two new art galleries: Art Gallery of Lu Xiaguang and Art Gallery of Chang Shuhong.
